Boxer: Mike Perez. Comments: I have involved in boxing since 1978. I have had over 100 amateur fights winning approx 75. in February 2007 I held my first professional boxing show at the city hall Cork. This was followed by my second show in august 07, at the same venue. in January 08, I signed my first professional fighter Cuban heavyweight Ismaikel Perez. He was gold medalist in 04 world junior championships. He is better known as Mike ‘the rebel’ Perez. Mike has attracted enormous attention winning his first 4 fights, 3 by ko and as his career gathers more momentum my plan is to promote more great boxing nights in Cork city. Bernardo Checa has joined our team and brings a wealth of experience to the table. by December 08, I will have 3 fighters in our camp and we will build on that.
Gary Shaw, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gary Shaw Productions, LLC., one of boxing’s most successful promotion companies, which he founded in 2002. The only major promoter with a regulatory background, Mr. Shaw began his professional affiliation with boxing in 1971, when he was appointed Inspector to the New Jersey State Athletic Control Commission (NJSAC) by the chairman, former World Heavyweight Champion.
